Water Out volunteers for season six of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
Ty Pennington, the host of the hit ABC show, along with his designers, Classic
Homes of
Maryland and hundreds of volunteers, including Water
Out, rebuilt a home for Felicia Jackson
and her 14 children. The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team is joined by
builders,
roofers, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, dry wall installers,
designers,
landscapers and countless other volunteers to completely renovate the home,
sometimes
even knock it down and start over again, in just seven days. A project this
size would normally
take four months. All of the materials and services are donated.
Water Out Coastal of Jackson, NJ and Water Out Metro
DC/C&C Complete Services of
Clinton, MD joined together on this project to dry the wet crawlspace and
the construction
materials, including the drywall mud. Timothy Cressy, Kelly Cressy and her
daughter
Devan met up with Andre Avdeev of Water Out Metro DC and donated their time
and services
to assist Extreme Makeover: Home Edition with this project by sending two
Water
Out trailers to dry the wet crawl space, stem walls, the foundation, block
walls and construction
materials to help keep the builders on their tight construction schedule.

Water Out Contractors Donate Time and Expertise to ABC’s Extreme Makeover:
Home Edition
Season six of the Emmy Award Winning show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
is in full swing. Ty
Pennington and his crew have completed two builds already and have more in
the works. Water
Out® is thrilled to be part of the national crew of volunteers. Water
Out® contractors have worked
with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on dozens of projects and we have commitments
from several
more Water Out® contractors for this season.
So far this year four Water Out® locations have donated their time and
services for builds in Maryland
and Ohio. Water Out Coastal and Water Out Metro DC /
C&C Complete Services joined forces for the build in
Poolesville, MD. Water Out of Canton/ Mr. Rapid and Water Out of Cincinnati/
Widmer’s partnered
for the build in West Chester, OH.
Once the drywall is installed in the home the Water Out® trailers are
used to accelerate drying the
mud and any other construction materials and reducing the amount of time between
drywall installation
and painting. The trailers have been used on several projects to dry frames
which got wet due
to weather and even for temporary heating. Drying the construction materials
help keep the crews
on schedule for the hectic 7 day build.

Water Out Metro DC exhibits at Property Managers Association trade show
Michelle Flanagan of Water Out Metro DC / C&C Complete
Services in Clinton, Maryland sent in photos this
week of a trade show they attended on the 6th. Michelle explains; “We
attended a trade show sponsored by the Property Managers Association and this
year’s theme was “Creating Value”. Our booth focused on
Water Out® since at the present time we are the only Water Out® service
provider in our immediate area; and what better value is there than having
your building dry in 3 to 4 days with little to no reconstruction?
There were people who had heard of Water Out® but there were also a few
who had not and they were all very impressed by what the Water Out® equipment
can do. We used the Water Out Drying Corp tabletop display for the show which
was quite impressive and caught the eye of the attendees. Thanks to Kelly
for letting us borrow the display. We feel that the show was a great success!”
Great work, Michelle, and everyone at Water Out Metro DC who participated
in the trade show .

Bill Cornelius and his team at Water Out DC / C&C Complete Services, Water
Out® members since
July of 2005, handled a loss recently at a multi-million dollar home. Michelle
Flanagan of C&C reports,
“This job was a multi-million dollar home that is approximately 7000
square feet. There was a fire in
the home which started in the upstairs bedrooms. We set up the Water Out®
trailer to dry the structure
before any repairs would be done. The house was completely dry in 3 days.”
Great job Bill, and everyone at Water Out DC / C&C Complete Services,
and thanks for sending the
great pictures, Michelle.
